WELCOME TO
KINETIC MOTORSPORTS
Based outside Atlanta in Buford, Georgia, Kinetic Motorsports was established as a full service race and prep shop for Porsche race cars and customer's street rides. Success on the track in the IMSA Porsche GT3 Cup resulted in a switch to campaigning BMWs in the Grand-American Road Racing, Continental Tire Series. In late 2009, Kia Motors America asked Kinetic to set up a program to campaign the new Kia Forte Koup. As the first– and still only– Kia race team in the world, Kinetic Motorsports designed, built and raced two cars for the Continental Tire Series ST class in 2010-2012. In addition to a number of trips to the podium, Kinetic won a Driver’s and Team Championship for Kia in our second season.

In 2012, we campaigned not only the Koups in Continental, but also designed, built and campaigned 2 Optima turbos in the Pirelli World Challenge GTS series. Fortune was bestowed upon us again in 2014 as we visited the podium 13 times in 16 races and collected the Manufacturer’s title in the GTS class.
2014 was also a great year as we introduced a pair of 2014 Kia Koup turbos to race in the TC-A class of Pirelli World Challenge. This was a true rental/privateer program and we won the Manufacturer’s, Drivers, Team and Crew of the Year honors. Preparation for the 2015 season is already well under way with more car builds, sponsor kits assembled and events for Kia dealers and journalist days.

2015 marked another successful year for the Kia Race team with multiple wins and podium visits for both the Optima in the GTS class and the Forte Koup in the TC-A class. Campaigning five cars each weekend did not detract from our successes and we were fortunate to collect another two championships for both Driver and team with the Forte Koups.
2016 has started well again - our first race run at Circuit of the Americas in Austin TX yielded a 1st and 2nd place. Roll-on the rest of another winning year.
The season has continued as it started with two recent wins in Salt Lake at the Utah Motorsport Campus for rounds 9 and 10 of the 2016 Pirelli World Challenge TCA Championship.
